Kia Soul (SK3): Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW-F/R) system / Self-diagnosis
When you shift the gear to the R (Reverse) position and if one or more of the below occurs you may have a malfunction in Reverse Parking Distance Warning system.
• You don't hear an audible warning sound or if the buzzer sounds intermittently.

Your new vehicle warranty does not cover any accidents or damage to the vehicle or injuries to its occupants related to Parking Distance Warning system. Always drive safely and cautiously.
Parking Distance Warning system may not operate normally when: 1. Moisture is frozen to the sensor (It will operate normally when moisture melts). 2.
Rear View Monitor system will activate when the back-up light is ON with the ignition switch ON and the shift lever in the R (Reverse) position. This system is a supplemental system that shows behind the vehicle through the navigation display while backingup.

Filter replacement It must be replaced when necessary, and should not be washed. You can clean the filter when inspecting the air cleaner element. Clean the filter by using compressed air. 1. Loosen the air cleaner cover attaching clips and open the cover.

1. Turn the ignition switch and all other switches off. 2. Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling the cover up. When the blade type fuse is disconnected, remove it by using the clip designed for changing fuses located in the engine room fuse box.
