When the transmitter does not work correctly, open and close the door with the ignition key. If you have a problem with the transmitter Kia recommends to contact an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. If the keyless entry system is inoperative due to changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance, it will not be covered by your manufacturer’s vehicle warranty.
Lock (1) All doors are locked if the lock button is pressed while all doors are closed. The hazard warning lights will blink once to indicate that all doors are locked.
The transmitter or smart key uses a 3 volt lithium battery which will normally last for several years. When replacement is necessary, use the following procedure.
Please prepare bulbs with appropriate standards in case of emergencies (Refer to “Bulb wattage” on page 9-07 for further information). When changing bulbs and sorts, first turn off the engine at a safe place, firmly apply the side brake and take out the battery's negative (-) terminal.
1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the bulb socket-connector by turning it counterclockwise. 3. Remove the bulb from the lamp assembly. 4. Install a new bulb. 5. Connect the bulb socket-connector.
