
With a smart key, you can lock or unlock a door and even start the engine without inserting the key.
The functions of buttons on a smart key are similar to the folding key.
The transmitter or smart key uses a 3 volt lithium battery which will normally last for several years. When replacement is necessary, use the following procedure.
Carrying the smart key, you may lock and unlock the vehicle doors (and tailgate). Also, you may start the engine. Refer to the following, for more details.
1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the bulb socket-connector by turning it counterclockwise. 3. Remove the bulb from the lamp assembly. 4. Install a new bulb. 5. Connect the bulb socket-connector. WARNING Prior to working on the Interior lamps, ensure that the “OFF” button is depressed to avoid burning your fingers or receiving an electric shock. 1. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, gently pry the lens cover from lamp housing. 2. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out.
